The Secretary-General of IMTO was the head of the Secretariat of the Inter-Micronational Treaty Organization, one of the principal organs of IMTO. The Secretary-General also acted as the de facto spokesperson and leader of IMTO.
The first Secretary-General was D Sherman of the Dale Republic, who took office apon the creation of IMTO on the September 25th 2011, stepping down on December 17, 2011 in order for the IMTO to undergo reforms, promoting Alexander Eastwood to the position. Eastwood was ousted after losing a vote of no confidence on January 14, 2012, being replaced by John Gordon on January 16, 2012, after Gordon won an election, who in turn resigned after nearly destroying the organization, and was replaced by Casey Hamlin, who dissolved the organization on April 11, 2012.
Role
The role of the Secretary-General of IMTO was as leader and director of IMTO and it's member states. Secretary-General of IMTO was also a speaker of nation and could have been a representative of IMTO when possible in intermicronational meetings. The final major role of Secretary-General of IMTO was as a co-ordinater where and when he is needed, this made the Secretary-General of IMTO one of the single most important people in IMTO.
