Egemonica, officially the Kingdom of Egemonica, (italian: Regno di Egemonica) is a sovereign micronation located in the Italian Peninsula. It's a constitutional parliamentary popular elective monarchy founded on 17 January 2021, proclaimed by the last king, His Majesty Edoardo Vittorio I.
History
Genesis
Egemonica, created on 17 January 2021, was firstly called as "General Monarchy of Egemonica". One week later was officially announced as "Regno di Egemonica", literally "Kingdom of Hegemony", meaning as an elective constitutional parliamentary popular monarchy. The nation was ideated and declared by Edoardo Podestà, who became known as Edoardo Vittorio I, King of Egemonica, Prince of Terrafina, Duke of Astolfinia, Baron of the Podestà Barony and Emperor of the Egemonican People.
Intermicronational conflict
In a time span of 4 months, Egemonica and Suteria went through one of the greatest micronational crisis in 2023, this being because of popular claims of Egemonican land among suterians, including the King of Suteria himself. This is known as the Egemonica-Suteria Dispute.
2024 Plebiscite
The 4th of September 2024 His Majesty Edoardo Vittorio I of Egemonica renounced the throne calling for elections in order to express the people's democracy. In fact, as the Constitution states "the King must be elected by popular vote". Even tho the last King was in fact elected in the First Plebiscite (Italian: Primo Plebiscito), he considered the fact that the context was much different and the voting citizens ad more than quadrupled after his coronation.
He decided to assumed the title of "Emeritous King and Emperor", keeping the role of State Secretary until new elections had taken place.
Society
Egemonica Friendship Association
The Egemonica Friendship Association (EFA) is a non-profit association founded the 22nd of December 2021 by the government, wanted firstly by His Highness Edoardo Vittorio I, defining it as "Essential for the friendship between the various nations that host our citizens all over the world".

Willing to exalt the rich cultural goods of Egemonica, the government founded different associations and corporations, which briefly are:
Photographic Archive Vincenzo de Angelis
Named after an ancestor of the Royal Family, it's dedicated to the care and exposure of Vincenzo's precious photos taken during the War in Ethiopia and Albania. Original photos of Umberto II, the last King of Italy, can be found.
Religious Library Caterina Podestà
A small, public collection of religious books available for resident citizens. There are many copies of the Holy Bible (in german, french, latin and italian), a full set of the apocrypha, books by His Holiness Benedict XVI and great classics such as the Confessions of Saint Augustine.

Decision-making power
The decision-making power in Egemonica is divided in small committees, that all responds to the central government and king. These committees are:
- National Organization Committee, the most influent off all, that takes decisions on national scale. It has no permanent members, and can be summoned with a petition by every citizen, and all citizen can access to it.
- Committee of Administration Territories and Peoples, express itself on decision about the Egemonican administration territories and the Egemonican cultural diversity;
- Special Executive Committee for Culture and Art, that takes decisions about cultural events in the country;
- Special Executive Committee for Natural Integrity, for the preservation of the nature.
Parites
The Kingdom has only one party registered, the Egemonican Party, also cited in the constitution.
The 2nd Congress of the Party is scheduled by the end of November 2024.

Military
Egemonica currently has a little army, the Royal Egemonican Army (Italian: Regio Esercito Egemoniense), only for demonstrative purposes. At the head of the army, as Supreme commander of the Royal Army, there is the King of Egemonica, with the grade of Generalissimo and Officer of the Daring Cossacks (Italian: Cosacchi Arditi) Armed Group. At the head of the Navy (Italian: Regia Marina) there is the Great Prince Stefano I, with the "Armed Group Official" Grade.
On 14 May was established the Red and White Army for the Popular defense (Italian: Armata Rossobianca per la difesa Popolare), an unarmed popular defense organization.

The document known as the Egemonican Party Recognition Act recognizes all UN state members, with some limitations and exceptions. With a resolution by the 5th of November 2022, the King recognized as independent micronations:
