Prince Frederick, Duke of Amherstburg (born George Frederick Albert) and formerly known as Frederick VI is the current Grand Ruler of the Sabah Province, which is one of the constituent states of the Kingdom of Queensland. He briefly ascended to the throne of Queensland assuming the regnal name of "King Frederick VI" on 20 October 2020 succeeding his older brother, King Albert V who had earlier abdicated as the King of Queensland. However, his reign was short and ended with his abdication on 2 November 2020. He was succeeded as the monarch of Queensland by his deputy, Princess Charlotte, Duchess of St. Andrews who assumed the regnal name of "Queen Catherine VII".
Birth and personal life
Prince Frederick was born on 13 September 2010 in Ubon Ratchathani province of Thailand. He is the youngest brother of King Edward IX of Queensland. He is currently undergoing his elementary school education and keeps a keen interest in naval and aerial warfare.
Micronational career
By the time he turned eight, he expressed his keen interests in navy and air force and was soon able to train himself with the Royal Guards of Queensland. On 15 September 2019, he was appointed as a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Queensland Navy and as a Squadron Leader in the Royal Queensland Air Force. In recognition of his merit, then reigning King Albert V promoted him to the rank of a Captain in the navy and as a Group Captain in the air force.
