The Helsmariehamn University or Queen Elizabeth II National Helsmariehamn University (QENHU, or informally HU) is the only national university in Queensland. It is a university teaching law in Queensland. The university was founded on the idea of Sir Michael J. Philippe, the first Chancellor of the university.

Honorary Alumni

The Helsmariehamn University presented its first honorary degrees in June 2017. This accolade has been bestowed on several members of Queenslandian royal family and a wide range of distinguished individuals from both the academic and non-academic worlds. Honorary degrees are approved by the Collegiate Council, part of the University's governance structure.
