Foreign relations of Istria
The Diplomatic Foreign Relations of Istria are directed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Presidential Administration. All the diplomatic relations treaties must be signed by the President, be approved by the Parliament, and the Government. The process of approving the treaties can go two ways: a foreign micronation contacts the Presidential Administration; the Secretary of Foreign Affairs discusses with the contacter and proposes a Treaty Draft to the Parliament. The Parliament has a policy of 2/3 of the votes policy, approved in 2019; after the Parliament signed the law approving the Treaty Draft. This law is getting then to the Presidential Administration where the Presidents signs a Presidential Decree and then the Presidential Decree goes to the Prime-Minister, which is advised by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign the Decree.

Scandals
Lanevinian Foreign Affairs Scandal
The scandal revolves around the Lanevinian Government who is claiming to have relations with multiple nations including Vlasynia, which is a defunct nation, and Snagov, who hasn't publicly announced it's recognition of Lanevinia and formal relations with the country. The Istrian Government is stating that no treaty has been signed with this simulationist micronation which is "a total mess in terms of civics" and has been very clear in a 20 pages document for the reason and motivation of the non-contact decision with this supposed nation.
Queendom of Nyx Foreign Affairs Scandal
The scandal that started on twitter, and involved the Queendom on Nyx was provoked by the decision taken by the Foreign Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration to end the diplomatic relations with the Nyxan Gouvernment. This led to a series of comments by HM The Queen and the Prime Minister, that ended with the majoritary support of the Istrian Gouvernment. The Istrian Gouvenrment had responded briefly by mentioning it's commitment to its foreign policy that recently was changed to support the Ukrainian Micronations and help them combat any type of attacks to the Ukrainian Micronational Community.
