On August 19th, 2018, elections for Princeps Altannés were held. These were the first elections to Princeps ever won by the FAA, which meant a significant backlash for the PAUN, which would have gotten an almost total control of the Executive by winning these elections. Notably, the second candidate of both winning lists was the same person: A.. ESGD Ana Bango da Quonca Roussa da Domeuanna was reelected for the fourth time, and N. Sg. Noverianno Matthew Cummings, for the third time.
Statistics
The FAP per se experimented a huge decrease in votes, but the popularity of their front-runner, Ana, made up for that fact. The PAUN suffered the opposite effect, being the party with the most votes, but lacking in personal popularity. Matthew Cummings tied in the second-to-last round with Miguel Benítez, from PAUN, and the tie was broken, in conformity with the electoral system, in favour of Matthew, whose ponderated score in other cast votes was higher than Miguel's.
