The Anime Anarcho-Marxist Union (abbr. AMMU) (Maltese: L-Unjoni Anarko-Marxista tal-Anime) was a political entity founded in Melite. On 1 June 2022 it was registered as a political party with the Electoral Commission of Melite after winning an appeal in the Supreme Court. The party until its dissolution, was located and headquartered in the Special Administrative Region of Socialist Fgura and had full control over the regional council and mayor-presidency. It would temporarily sit in coalition with the Christian Nationalist Party, and the Directionist Party in Parliament due to a previous agreement with the Anarchist Party which it inherited, until its only MP left the union.

Founding

The Union was first envisioned when Xram lrak, the founder and current leader of the union, had a brush with Melitian law. This event made Irak believe that a new political party was needed inside of Melite to fight for civil liberties. After some discussion within the Anarchist Party. They decided that the Anarchist Party should be disbanded so a new organisation could be built from the ground up. The organization attempted to register as a political party with the Electoral Commission of Melite, but was initially met with opposition by the electoral commission, who had rejected the party due to its similarity to the Anarchist Party and political beliefs which the commission claimed went against Melite's values. This decision was appealed to the Supreme Court of Melite where Judge Matthew Vella ruled in favour of the A.A.M.U, overruled the commission's decision and allowed the party to register. That same week the union officially formed its military wing, the Neko Brigade and its intelligence agency the Femboy Intelligence And Security Agency (FISA).

Goals and ideology

The Union aimed to serve as a continuation, renewal and fulfilment of the values previously promoted by the Anarchist Party. In addition, the group also existed to protect the Special Administrative Region of Socialist Fgura both legally and militarily with its defense wing, The Neko Brigade and Femboy Intelligence and Security Agency, which have been dissolved with the party.

Despite its name, which was mostly chosen to be controversial, the A.A.M.U did not necessarily follow a specific ideology. Instead, people of all backgrounds and beliefs can join the party, provided they uphold its core values and goals such as the dismantling of oppressive systems, abolition of capitalism, freedom of the individual, the appreciation for Japanese media, etc. Many of these core values stem from the Neo-Bible, a philosophical text that uses religious imagery and narratives to tell a story of emancipation. Due to this liberal recruitment policy many new philosophies and tendencies formed within the party.

Femboy Anarchism

The anarchist tendency of "Femboy Anarchism" is an offshoot of queer anarchism but, as the names suggests, it focused specifically on femboys, the social class the A.A.M.U considered the most oppressed in Melite.

YeLand Revivalism

YeLand Revivalism is the belief that YeLand should be brought back in some form. This could be interpreted as reverting the name of Socialist Fgura or more abstractly meaning that the SAR should culturally and ideologically go back to being more like what YeLand was originally envisioned as. The more extreme interpretation of this belief could mean that a 'New YeLand' or a 'YeLand 2.0" which is a newer and better version of YeLand, should be formed either in its old location or a completely new one. However no concrete plan has ever been written or put in to action and even after the dissolution of the party, the belief still remains as a fringe idea.

Foreign affairs

The AAMU recognised no state as legitimate, however is was still open to establishing relationships. The AAMU had designated some states and organisations as terror organisations and has declared war against the Republic of Kosovo on 8 June 2022.
