Georgienstine First
Primary
Raphaël Olivier of Georgienstine First is the incumbent president, and stated he intended to run for reelection for a third term in 2022 unless the circumstances are inadequate and not in his favour.
In 2021, Olivier, who was nominated by Georgienstine First, received 50.00% of the vote in the first round and 57.14% in the second. On 8 August 2021, congressman Ali Farrokhzad announced his candidacy. Following multiple changes in political party affiliation, Dunkerque joined Georgienstine First, on 10 October 2021. On 9 November 2021, Dunkerque withdrew from the race. On 13 August 2021, congressman Andrew Perdomo announced his candidacy. On 8 September 2021, he announced former congressman Louis de Blois as his running mate. GNC political analyst Raphaël Olivier has speculated that his campaign may be an attempt to pressure the nominee into choosing him as his running mate, as he had expressed interest in being selected. Perdomo withdrew from the race after he was suspended from the party for threatening to leave it, which would have jeopardized the party's congressional majority in the January 2022 Georgienstinian congressional election had he stayed. De Blois withdrew from the ticket shortly afterwards.
Olivier announced his decision on 25 December 2021, during his annual Christmas address. When the Populist Bloc dissolved, Andrew Perdomo joined Georgienstine First and ran in the primary. On 19 March, Vice President Tom Mark withdrew from the Olivier ticket, though he stayed in his office to finish his term. Olivier is expected to announce his replacement in late March.
On 19 March 2022, Olivier defeated Perdomo to become the party's presumptive nominee, receiving 84.6% of the vote and 8/9 delegates. Perdomo later endorsed Olivier and pledged his delegates to him. On 26 March 2022, Olivier announced Perdomo as his running mate and claimed that he had not run a selection process.
On 17 April 2022, at the Georgienstine First National Convention, Andrew Perdomo was nominated as the vice-presidential nominee receiving 9 votes on 9. On 18 April 2022, Raphaël Olivier was renominated as the presidential nominee receiving 9 votes. The sole delegate pledged to Perdomo voted Olivier.
On 3 May 2022, a motion was passed allowing the GFNC to remove and replace a nominee 30 days before the election. On 5 May 2022, it was announced that a new vice-presidential selection process would be held. Six individuals, including vice-presidential nominee Andrew Perdomo participated in the process. On 18 May 2022, Andrew Perdomo was removed as vice-presidential nominee and was replaced by Logan White, after a selection process consisting of three other candidates. Perdomo resigned as Governor of Augustine, as a congressperson and renounced his citizenship following this announcement. On 29 May 2022, White was officially nominated by the Georgienstine First National Convention. On 10 June 2022, White resigned as the vice-presidential nominee, after criticism from the party for presenting the Secularism Act without permission and partaking in a filibuster.
On 23 June 2022, Ali Farrokhzad was announced and officially nominated by the Georgienstine First National Convention.
