The War in Midlothian (French: la belle Midlothienne) is a Laskaridian documentary about the Midlothian War, a conflict fought between the Empire of Kapreburg, the Weimar Confederation and the Federal Union of Wegmat in the 2020s. The film was produced by the Laskaridian Broadcasting Corporation, and approved by Laskaridian Public Broadcasting. The film was rated 13 by the LPB and released on 17 November 2023. The film used live war footage from the Kapresh Broadcasting Corporation, and overlaid text and images detailing the story of the conflict from beginning to aftermath. The film stars His Majesty's Orchestra (strings) as well as some macronational music producers.
Production
The film was produced by Henry Allistaire and the King, who both edited it on iMovie, a film production service by Apple. Footage from the KBC was imported in, and an AI text-to-speech agent recorded the voice, one is Daniel, a British AI, and the other, Dorothy, an American AI. This makes it one of the first micronational films to use artificial intelligence as a means of narration. The movie was uploaded to YouTube and was scheduled to be released on Saturday, November 19th, but the date was shifted to November 17th. The movie was commented on by Austenasia TV, and was viewed by several micronationalists.
