The Royal Cristorian Navy (RCN), commonly simplified to Cristorian Navy (CN), is the naval branch of the Cristorian Defense Force. Originally intended soley for ceremonial purposes, the Cristorian Navy has since obtained seaworthy vessels and has become an active component in other peacetime tasks such as carriers for the Cristorian Post Office or transportation of goods.

History

The Cristorian Navy was originally formed in 2021. After the dissolution of the Empire of Cristoria the roles of the Navy were dissolved until 2022 by popular willingness of the House of Commons in fhe Kingdom of Cristoria. The Navy acquired the Moonstone in March of 2021 from Cristorian Lines, making her the first naval ship in the Cristorian Navy. The Navy then acquired Moonstone's sister ship, the New Toledo in April of 2022 to carry out training missions for the nations in SNOP and to train soldiers in the Cristorian Army.

In June of 2022, the Royal Cristorian Navy had its first accident, that being the New Toledo running aground after hitting a rock during a SNOP exercise off of Maumee Bay. In the same month, it was found that the Moonstone had severe hull damage after not being maintained properly and checked up on. It was optimistically hoped for that the Moonstone would be repaired by 2024–2025, however in October 2024 it was chosen to retire her to make way for a better vessel in the future.

Prefixes

As the Cristorian Navy also has roles in other micronational affairs they possess a range of prefixes that are granted to vessels, the following is a list of prefixes in order of hierarchy.

• RCNS - Royal Cristorian Navy Ship used on Naval ships.

• RCHS - Royal Cristorian Hospital Ship used on hospital ships.

• RCMS - Royal Cristorian Mail Ship used on ships designated to carry mail cargo.

• RCRV - Royal Cristorian Research Vessel used on ships which are being used for many forms research of the Republic.

• RCS - Royal Cristorian Steamship used on ships whom use steam for power.

• RCNV - Royal Cristorian Naval Vessel used on non-commissioned ships not being used for specific purposes and or not serving in the Navy.

Admiral

The Admiral of the Navy is responsible for all actions relating to the Navy that aren't directly administered by the Prime Minister or the Monarch. The current Admiral position is vacant, however in the past ex-Prince Braedyn I became incumbent to the position by monarchical selection in 2021, eventually being stripped of the role after the dissolution of the Republic of Cristoria.

Divisions

The Navy is divided into two Corps., The Lake Corps. and the River Corps. Those who are in the Lake Corps. operate specifically on Lake Erie and any surrounding bodies of fresh water. Those who are in the River Corps operate specifically on any river, preforming rescue missions and anything along those lines if anyone was to fall into any river.
