The Republic of Teweria is a micronation located in Southeast Serbia, and Russia.
History
On 1 August 2022, King Lito I of Teweria held a referendum regarding the government of Teweria. Out of the twelve people eligible to vote, five people voted for a Republic and four for a Kingdom, which means that the result was narrowly decided. On 3 August 2022, King Lito I abdicated the throne and proclaimed the newly-founded First Tewerian Republic. Vitold Chaban, who was the Chancellor of the Kingdom up to that point, was immediately appointed as Acting President of the Tewerian Republic.
Politics
Government
The Republic of Teweria is a semi-presidential republic. Vitold Chaban is serving as President of the Republic, while Ilya Lipsky was elected acting Chairman of the Council of Ministers.
On 23 August, it was proclaimed that the Republic was going to held its first ever elections. The registrations to the Constituent Assembly of Teweria were announced by the acting president. The registration process was initiated five days later, on 28 August. Two days later, the three candidates were made available to the voters:
- Lito Nedelin, former King of Teweria
- Ilya Lipsky, an independent candidate
- Tangaz Kelsor, leader of the Libertarian Party of Teweria
The turnout was 8/12 eligible voters (66,6%). Lito and Ilya received 3 votes each, while Tangaz only managed to gather 2 votes and was eliminated. The second round took place on 3 September 2022. This time, Lito received only 1 vote and his adversary gathered again 3 votes, which meant that Ilya Lipsky was elected acting Chairman of the Council of Ministers.
On 28 October, double elections were proclaimed. The Candidates for the State Assembly of the Teverian Republic were:
- Andrew-Ludwig Hubert, of the Monarchist-Democratic Party of Teweria
- Dmitry Alexeevich Chodźko, of Unity
- Tangaz Kelsor, of the Libertarian Party of Teweria
- Strahinja Novaković, of the Liberal Party of Anslavia in Teweria
While the presidential candidates were:
- Strahinja Novaković (LPAT)
- Vitold Chaban (NWP - KWΘK)
- Danilo Hrisanov (independent, backed by the Libertarian Party of Teweria)
The elections ended on 30 October and a 2nd round was proclaimed for the presidential candidates on 4 November. Vitold Chaban was elected with 53,8% against Strahinja Novaković, who received 46,2% of the votes. Vitold Chaban was sworn in on 11 November 2022. Ilya Lipsky was re-elected as Chairman of the Council of Ministers, only now officially.
The State Assembly of Teweria was dissolved on 25 February 2023 by presidential decree, following a long period of inactivity. It was immediately replaced by the Council of the Republic.

Following the decision of the Council of the Republic, the administrative structure of the micronation was redesigned, with the replacement of županje by katunje (катуње, singular: катуња, katunja). Furthermore, a few mergers and territorial changes were approved. Last but not least, the head of each katunja was initially named "Didowič" (Дидович, plural: Дидовичи, Didowiči), but later officially changed to "Diduć" (Дидућ, plural: Дидући, Didući).
As of 27 February 2023, the micronation is subdivided into four katunje:
