The Macedonian Sosiocracy (Greek: Μακεδονική Σοσιοκρατία [mɐ.ce̞.ðo̞.niˈci so̞.si.o̞.krɐˈti.ɐ]) was a micronation located in Serres, Macedonia, Greece. It was founded in March 2022 by Athanasios I and dissolved a little more than 2 months after its 1st anniversary.

History

With inspiration from the ancient Greek and Roman history, the foundation and independence of Serres was proclaimed on 19 March 2022 by the first emperor and head of the state Athanasios I, Emperor of Serres, therefore establishing the Empire of Camenesia. The state underwent many name changes over the course of a few months: on 15 July, it was renamed to the Serrain Empire. On 9 September, a referendum was held that resulted in the change of the type of government, from constitutional monarchy to a federal republic. Two days later, the Serrain Empire was officially renamed to the Serrain Federation. Between 21 January 2023 and its dissolution, the micronation was known as the Macedonian Sosiocracy. The dissolution of the micronation took place on 27 May 2023, as announced by the Foreign Secretary of Serres to the League of Hellenistic Micronations.
