The Representative of Commerce is an elected position in the National Assembly of Phillip. The position was created on 1 March 2023, after a bill was passed into law establishing it. According to the law, the position was created in order to "maintain cooperation between the National Assembly and business owners[1]". The office can only be held by a person who is in charge of a conglomerate and can only be elected by their shareholders. The seat is not represented by a party, but instead a corporation or group of corporations.
The current Representative of Commerce is Owen Itzen, who was the only eligible candidate when elected.
