The Phillip Daily is a newspaper in the Republic of Phillip. Despite its name, the newspaper does not publish daily and is on an irregular schedule. The newspaper was established on the same day as Phillip, 9 January 2023. It used to be the nation's sole source of news until the foundation of the Phillip Liberated Press in February 2023. The newspaper considers itself to be unbiased.[1]

The Phillip Daily received criticism from Minister Owen Itzen in February 2023 after an article discussing a controversy between him and Minister Reed Von revealed information that he had attempted to conceal. The article discussed how Minister Itzen requested for the paper to leave out information in their report in order to benefit his case.[2] In reaction to this, Minister Itzen created the Phillip Liberated Press.

Content

The Phillip Daily offers articles about politics, business, and entertainment, and international happenings all pertaining to the Republic of Phillip. They also have an opinion section where any citizen of Phillip is allowed to publish an article.
