Lord Michael "Mick" Griffin, Baron of Glainamar is an Austenasian official, who has been the first Governor of Glainamar since 12 March 2024.[1] He also serves as the Editor of the Austenasian Times and was the second last Austenasian Delegate to the Grand Unified Micronational, prior to Austenasia's withdrawal from the organization.[2]

Micronational career

Lord Griffin first entered micronationalism when he approached HIM Jonathan I in March 2024, offering his land to Austenasia. The land was then officially annexed on 12 March 2024, as a Territory, and named Glainamar. A month later, Griffin expanded Glainamar with the annexation of the Glain Interior.

In May 2024, HIM Jonathan I approached Griffin, offering him a position as Delegate to the Grand Unified Micronational, as His Majesty was interested in stepping back from public life. He then served as delegate until 18 August 2024 when Prime Minister Lord Andrew Creed dismissed all Austenasian delegates to the organization.[3]

In August 2024, Griffin was granted permission by HIM Jonathan I to be installed as Editor of the Austenasian Times. Since then, Lord Griffin has covered various stories, including the September 2024 General Election, Austenasia's GUM withdrawal, and HIM Jonathan I's abdication.
