Foreign relations of New Pulaskia

The diplomatic foreign relations of the Democratic Union of New Pulaskia are led by the President and his Council, namely the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The ability to recognize another nation lies with the Council, though this duty, along with many similar ones, is often left to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the President, who himself has the power to write up treaties, though the Council is needed to conclude them. The Union was formerly a member of the Second Triple Alliance of Kalossia, Aglesia, and New Pulaskia, the original Triple Alliance of Xaidia, Aglezia, and itself, and the allied coalition of nations in the Jaelandian War, and currently maintains an unsigned alliance with Aglesia and an official one with Hakoi and another with New Italia.

Sovereignty Disputes

The Union has overlapping claims with the United States of America, namely the State of Arkansas. They lay claim to all Pulaskian territory, within Garland Territory, Saline Province, Calhoun Territory, the Autonomous Province of Xaidia, and the Capital Territory. It has no other claims outside of these.
