Cizland, officially the Cizlandeese Empire or Great Empire of Cizland, also known retrospectively as the First Cizland to distinguish it from the Federal Union of Cizland established in 2012, was a short-lived micronation of the Valtir Sector founded on 16 March 2011 and the first of the Sector's micronations. It was characterized by its fictitious nature.

The Cizlandeese Empire was the official successor of the Cizlandeese Republic, which emerged originally as a geofictional entity. Both the Empire and the Republic were highly inactive and became bastions of fantasy by the hand of Cizland's founder and leader, Tarik Kârjasary. The Cizlandeese Empire, much like its Republican predecessor and all its successors until late 2012 was a short-lived unstable micronation, prone to sudden changes in internal or external policy.

Government, Economy and Justice

The Cizlandeese Empire claimed to be an "imperial monarchy" with constitutional elements. One of the main figures of Cizlandeese politics was the CNENI, or "National Council for Non-Imperial Elections", which mirrored the functions of the Venezuelan National Electoral Council.

Military

The ANPC was the apparent body in charge of military affairs in the micronation.

Political divisions

The Cizlandeese Empire consisted of seven subdivisions which were claimed to be ruled by a monarch each.

  • Kingdom of Salisse
  • Kingdom of High Cizland
  • Duchy of Low Cizland
  • Principality of New Mérida
  • Duchy of Vadenburg (later merged with the Archduchy of Luftchen)
  • Archduchy of Luftchen
  • Free State of Soberbia

Foreign affairs

Due to its brief existence, Imperial Cizland had little chance to establish diplomatic talks with other micronations. The Cizlandeese Empire claimed to have established diplomacy with the Republic of Ultamiya.

Law and order

The Judicial Code was an important asset of the Cizlandeese Empire. It consisted of basic rules that "applied" to every Cizlandeese citizen.

  • Do not kill
  • Do not assault
  • Respect for the national symbols
  • Limited imperial power
  • No jail system

Imperial Cizland claimed to count with a limited police force.

Economy

The Cizlandeese economy was never developed to a considerable point. The national currency was the Cizlandeese Bolívar, which never truly existed, and the Venezuelan Bolívar.

Culture

The Cizlandeese culture appeared to be a syncretization of several elements of Western Venezuelan culture and the aristocratic lifestyle of XVII century France. Some of its claimed cultural events included the "Rose Party" or "Fiesta de las Rosas", which celebrated the transition from the Republic into the Empire, the "Crown Equinox", in which monarchs and royals pretended to be commoners, the "French Cake Party", the "Drum Festival" and other several fantastic imperial ceremonies.
