The Chancellor of Runnymede officially known as the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Runnymede or simply The Chancellor is the Head of state of the Federal Republic of Runnymede and is the leader of the Parliament of Runnymede. The incumbent Chancellor is Terry McKeen III, with the first Chancellor being Matthew Cunningham, a founding father of the nation. The Chancellor is widely regarded as the most powerful Micronationalist in the country and is the commander and chief of the armed forces of Runnymede. The office of the Chancellor was established by Terry McKeen III who was and is the first and current Chancellor of Runnymede. Much like in Germany and Austria, The Chancellor is the leader of the Government and is ultimately responsible for the policy and decisions of the government, with the Chancellor widely being regarded as the most powerful person in the nation. All citizens of the Federal Republic of Runnymede that have been deemed fit by the Supreme Court and have been elected may be the Chancellor. The elections for Chancellor are every 6 years.

Eligibility

The Current Constitution of the Federal Republic of Runnymede states that the citizen must be a member of the Parliament, as well as the following:

• Be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Runnymede
• Be a member of the Senate
• Be over the age of 13 years old
• Be deemed eligible by the Supreme Court
• Be able to prove good character to the Senate
• Be able to hold the confidence of the Senate

Powers and authority

The Chancellor of Runnymede serves as the Head of State and a member of the Legislature with them being mainly in-charge of administering affairs of the government. The Chancellor is entitled to a $550,000 Runnymeden Pound Per Year Salary as well as free-of-charge residence in the Government House of Runnymede, which is the seat of the government, the Chancellor can also serve as the Deputy Speaker of the Senate.
