The Austenasian Ambassador to the United States of America is the official diplomatic representative of the government of the Empire of Austenasia to that of the United States of America.
As Austenasian recognition of the United States of America is not currently reciprocated, the position is - at present - unaccredited, and serves a primarily ceremonial role.
The Empire of Austenasia first officially recognised the United States of America as a sovereign state on 27 December 2008 with the passage of Act 37 (Recognition of other States). On 3 January 2009, Act 42 (International Diplomatic Relations) instructed the Chief Ambassador to contact the USA (amongst other countries) "to inform them about the Empire of Austenasia and attempt to gain recognition". A letter was accordingly sent on 30 July later that year to the US State Department, but no reply was ever received.
On 22 May 2011, Dakoda George was appointed the Empire's first Ambassador to the United States of America. He was replaced on 1 June 2014 with Vera Hewitt, who resigned on 10 August 2015 to allow Lady Vice Admiral Elizabeth Lewis to take up the position.
A family property of Lady Vice Admiral Lewis in Massachusetts was claimed on the day of her appointment as the Austenasian Embassy to the United States of America. Said embassy served a completely ceremonial role, with its precise location kept private for security reasons. Lewis resigned in May 2021, and was succeeded by the incumbent Ambassador, Lord Michael Simpson.
Thirteen other diplomats are under the authority of the Ambassador to the United States of America:
- Consul-General in Arizona: Lord Charles Ross, Duke of Occidentia (since 17 March 2019)
