The Attorney General, officially the Attorney General of Roscamistan, is the chief law advisor and advocate for the Government of Roscamistan. In trials involving the Government, the attorney general is the lawyer for the government. The office is not political and officeholders do not depend upon the partisanship of the ruling cabinet to stay in office.

History

The position was first established as the Chief Adviser to the President, the de facto attorney general. The first Chief Adviser, Fearghas MacLochlainn was a massive part of the First Jacobs Presidency. He was less involved in the Hanlon Presidency, the administration after the overthrow of the First Jacobs Presidency, but became a big part in the early stages of the Second Jacobs Presidency before the arrival of Doros Patusky to Roscami politics

After Doros Patusky arrived, Fearghas MacLochlainn became less active in the government, still being the Governor of the Aran Islands and Secretary of State for Home Affairs, but he did meet Thomas Jacobs at Jacobs’ confirmation into the Catholic Church along with the rest of Jacobs’ old sixth class as part of the planning before the third lockdown in Ireland.

On 16 January 2022, the position was renamed Attorney General, with the same powers as the Chief Adviser, and the judicial matters were kept in the Home Office's and later Ministry of Justice’s hands. The office was then passed to A.J Crowley a year later on 10 January 2023.
