The Arstotzkan Marine Corps was a branch of the People's Armed Forces (then known as the Arstotzkan Union Defense Force) from its creation on 6 November 2020 until the passing of Executive Presidential Order 0001 on 31 October 2021. It served as a bridge between the Arstotzkan Army Corps and Arstotzkan Naval Corps. Troops from the Arstotzkan Marine Corps were also considered to be more elite and organized than ordinary Army soldiers.
During the Arstotzkan - Confederate War, the Arstotzkan Marine Corps were the main branch to represent the Arstotzkan Union in battle against the Confederate Democracy of Gamers. The Marine Corps were also the first branch of any military force in the Arstotzkan Union to see combat, as the 1st Regiment was deployed during the Arstotzkan Invasion of the Confederate Democracy of Gamers in April 2021.
The branch was disbanded in October of that same year due to the size of the armed forces not matching the population and also due to the inorganization of the forces.
History
On 6 November 2020, the Arstotzkan Marine Corps was established by First President Ethan Brinkman as a fourth branch of the AUDF, however at that time there was only the National Army as the sole branch. This came after the Military Expenditure Reduction Initiative in 2020.
In 2020, the Marine Corps were announced to be the sole branch responsible for Operation: Foreign Destruction and were also beneficial in the unification of the Arstotzkan Union, for the CDG, following the conclusion of Operation: Foreign Destruction in April 2021.
On 31 October 2021, the Arstotzkan Marine Corps, along with the Arstotzkan Air Force were disbanded during what is known as the Second AUDF Reform Period. A majority of troops and resources were moved to the 2nd Fleet, Arstotzkan Naval Corps or 2nd Army Infantry Regiment, Arstotzkan Army Corps.
