Candidates

Matthew Hughes

His Grace, Matthew Hughes, 1st Duke of Wirthgrad, announced his candidacy for Prime Minister on 1 August 2023, as the main candidate running under the Monarchist-Libertarian Party, with his running mate Aidan Urquizo. He has not announced an official platform, but has voiced support for typical Monarchist-Libertarian positions, especially a strong military and Kapresh imperialism. As Kapresh citizens are, by nature of the nation, split up into the groups of physical and virtual citizens, Hughes would be the first in-person Prime Minister of Kapreburg. He has experience in the Parliament of Kapreburg, and has supported a wide array of different issues.

Lane Caldwell

Most Honorable Lane Caldwell, 1st Earl of the Rockies also announced his candidacy on 1 August 2023, as the candidate for the Conservationist Party. He has experience in Parliament, and advocates for environmentalism within Kapreburg, and planned to establish a national park system as Prime Minister.

Aidan McGrath

Aidan McGrath is a Kapresh citizen who was formerly Prime Minister from 17 May to 14 August 2019. He has been out of the world of Kapresh politics since. He announced his candidacy in August 2023, with Jebediah Powell as his running mate, who was also formerly involved in Kapresh politics. They are running under a Communist Party ticket, which was be the first time the Communist Party has put forth a candidate in a Kapresh election since 2019.
