The War in Jalaur River (Filipino: Digmaan sa Ilog Jalaur; Hiligaynon: Gyera sa Suba sang Jalaur), also referred to as Operation Bloody Hell, was an intermicronational conflict involving Coalition forces led by the Kingdom of Arlandica and the Empire of Hesminia against the Principality of Norgain. The war, lasting only five (5) days, erupted following an offensive by Norgain that resulted in the capture of territories including Curimae, Hesminia, Ravenia, Vista, Vethony, and Zhao in Jalaur River. Following a counteroffensive by Arlandica and Hesminia, Prince Nico of Norgain surrendered, marking the end of the war.
The war is recognized in Arlandica as one of the most current physical conflicts, primarily involving physical contact between the forces of the belligerents. It is the first micronational conflict in the year 2024.
Backround
Norgain is a micronation located in La Paz, Iloilo, led by Prince Nico, a 13-year-old micronationalist. Before the war, tensions had already flared between his micronation and Hesminia, along with their allies. Prince Nico released an announcement outlining their plan to attack territories in Jalaur River claimed by some micronations, including Arlandica and Hesminia.

However, reports indicate that it also includes territories claimed by Curimae and Zhao. According to Emperor Xiaen, many micronations are interested in acquiring a piece of territory in Jalaur River. Norgain's desire to expand territories led them to conflict with claimants in that area.

Arlandican–Hesminian counteroffensive
After the retreat of Norgain in the Battle of Corvalon, King Jerold I and Emperor Xiaen agreed to declare a ceasefire between the Coalition forces and Norgain for 2 days.
During the ceasefire, the Coalition took the time to reorganize itself and plan to launch a counteroffensive to liberate all territories captured by Norgain. President Brandon Begley ordered the deployment of the 2nd Army of the Commonwealth and the 31st Infantry Division of the Begley Armed Forces to join the coalition and participate in the counteroffensive. King Jerold I also ordered the deployment of the Special Forces to join the personnel of the Overseas Security Unit.
Arlandica, Hesminia, and Begley Commonwealth did not issue any proclamations throughout the conflict.
The armed forces of Norgain were aware that they might soon face a larger force. Emperor Xiaen and King Jerold I officially announced the start of the counteroffensive on the morning of January 24, 2024, as the elements of the Coalition forces entered the riverbanks of the eastern portion of Jalaur River island territories. However, an hour later, Prince Nico officially announced their surrender.
Aftermath
The War in Jalaur River didn't have any significant impact on Arlandica or Hesminia, in terms of economic activities. The conflict tested the capabilities of the Civil Guard as part of its development program. The Civil Guard officially established a presence by deploying a group of personnel under the Overseas Security Unit in Passi City, Iloilo, to protect the Corvalon Islands. Arlandica, Hesminia, Begley Commonwealth, and other allies strengthened their relations during the conflict.
After the surrender of Norgain, the Peace Treaty of Jalaur was signed by the belligerents, wherein the captured territories were returned to their original owners. The peace treaty also stipulates that Norgain will dissolve, and they will relinquish the crown or regalia due to their behavior.
On March 5, 2024, the Jalaur River Territorial Management Office was established to protect, manage, and acknowledge the claims of micronations in the area. Later on October 7, it was dissolved following the passage of Resolution No. 4 by the Central Committee of the Santo Niño Cooperation Union (SNCU), of which both Arlandica and Hesminia are members. The resolution also stated that Arlandica is permitted to extend its claims to all islands in the Jalaur River, with the exception of those claimed by the Kingdom of Curimae, making them the primary claimants of the islands, while Hesminia serves as their protector. In exchange, Arlandica ceded a piece of land near its mainland to Hesminian control, with the agreement that Arlandica will protect it.
