The Union of Micro States, known in italian as Unione Micro Stati, or simply known as UMS, is a micronational union founded by Luca Mirante in 2009.

Story
Founded in 2009 by Luca Mirante, the UMS has played a crucial role in the economic, military, and political unions of Italian micronations. In 2014, it experienced the eponymous Prima guerra dell'U.M.S., and in 2016, it welcomed its first independent member, the Republic of Luxe. Notably, the union faced the Cold Crisis of UMS in 2019, leading to the formation of rebel states known as Unione delle MicroNazioni Italiane, although Astana and Franci City later returned to U.M.S.
The union has undergone constitutional reforms and established a new parliament. The page was created on Microwiki, and its site has been made public to all micronations. In 2019, the Communist Propaganda became a point of contention with the communist faction of Umni expressing opposition to UMS.
Subdivisions
- AMU (Alliance Military of UMS):
The military alliance where membership is optional, and member states must assist each other in times of conflict or revolt.
- UEU (Union Economic of UMS):
Mandatory economic union where member states collaborate economically. Donations, financial aid, and sanctions can be offered in case of law violations.
- CSU (Sports Committee of UMS):
Optional sports committee managing national and international sporting events. National federations are confederated to CSU, and state teams can participate in UMS tournaments.
