March 2020

I propose to mark this page as Comical due to certain topics that the organization has pledged. Emperor Anthony I (talk) 18:06, 18 March 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Emperor Anthony I: Such as? Please be more specific. / Zed Zabëlle  My Talk Page  Contribs  8:42 pm (20:42), 18 March 2020 (UTC)
@Emperor Anthony I: Is it because of the name? [ Ari Telford (talk) ]
@Ari Telford: @Z. Luna Skye: The reason being is due to the name and the "69 hour long session". Emperor Anthony I (talk) 23:14, 18 March 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Emperor Anthony I: We do have our fun moments but the comical template invokes an article which is "largely non-serious or comical in nature." We do have our fun moments but we do still pass and enforce agreements, do the normal things which another organization would do, etc. Examples you listed, in my opinion, are not significant enough to warrant the template. Thank you! Jaydenfromcanada (talk) 06:44, 19 March 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Urgent need to update this page

It is urgent that this page be updated to reflect the modern day. The history sections have barely been updated since late 2020, and the delegate list is woefully out of date. I would suggest a total removal of the current member state & delegate list and replace it with a regular list of member states. Daniel HamiltonEnquiriesMy Work 07:08, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

In harmony with the english language change all instances of "intermicronational" to "international" and for introductory descriptive purposes "international (and) micronational". GS Chris (talk) 17:55, 13 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

June 2024

@GS Chris: I do not dislike it, but IMO there is no real need for this change as both intermicronational and micronational are fairly unfamiliar terms to non-micronationalists, and, as a word, it is perfectly acceptable and appropriate. For one, it is used on Wikipedia and in a number of news articles and academic publications about micronations. Also, to compare it with a similar term, MicroWiki uses macronation over country despite this being completely incomprehensible to non-micronationalists; we only use country in categories for SEO purposes. Likewise, considering Wikipedia and those works about micronations, "intermicronational organisation" is the preferred (one could say correct) and more common term then "international micronational organisation". If a reader wishes to know what an intermicronational organisation is, they can click on the newly-added wikilink. It may be unfamiliar to most, but it is not non-standard nor grammatically incorrect, and it is already widely-used in macronational works about micronations; as such, it really does not need replacing IMO.
