The President of Arcadia is the head of state and government of the Republic of Arcadia. The president is the leader of the executive branch and commander in chief of the Arcadia state guard, the armed forces of Arcadia. The president currently controls most aspects of the government of Arcadia, a constitution as been written but not ratified.
The position was founded in late may of 2024, during this time the head of state was known as the Head-Governer of the Oregon Republic. The president appointed the nations first prime minister, K.G. The position was renamed to president during July of 2024.
History
The head of state was known as the chairman from March to May, also being the head of government. It then became known as the Head Governor when the nation transitioned to a Semi presidential republic. The office was renamed to president on 23 July 2024 to make the office sound more powerful. The constitution that outlines the presidents powers began being written later that month.
Powers
The president holds the executive power of Arcadia . This power includes appointing the Vice President of Agraria, appointing diplomatic officials, having the final word on foreign policy and signing treaties with foreign nations, declaring war, martial law, and state of emergencies, and the role of commander-in-chief of the nations armed forces. The constitution also states that the president has a de jure term limit of two years.
the President has the power to award the various orders, decorations, and medals of the nation, including the order of the fir, order of service, and hero of Agraria.
