The Order of Independence is a high state decoration and order of merit of the Monmarkian Empire and is exclusively conferred only upon citizens for their extraordinary and meritorious services to the nation and its people. The order was constituted on 25 December 2020[1] by a decree issued by Emperor-High King Alexander I Constantine to confer upon citizens for their services to the nation. The order is conferred only once a year, that is, on 26 December which is the Independence Day of the nation.

As the head of state of the nation, the Emperor-High King serves as the fons honorum of the Order of Independence, alongside the other state honours.

Grades

The Order of Independence is conferred in two grades - Grand Collar and Grand Cross. All recipients of the order, are entitled to post-nominals GColI (for Grand Collars) and GCI (for Grand Crosses).
