The Ministry of Propaganda and Public Enlightenment was the executive department in the Government of Roscamistan responsible for matters of information, the progression of the Republic, and display of sensitive information to the public. It was parallel to a Ministry of Information in other countries.
History
The ministry was founded on 1 November 2021, to replace the Ministry of Information. The department assumed the roles that the Information Ministry previously had jurisdiction over. Ludwig Collins, the second Chief of the Defence Staff became the first Minister of Propaganda and Public Enlightenment. It was expected he be in a Secretary of State position, but this didn’t come to fruition.
He was sacked by Doros Patusky using his powers given by the Senatus Paramount Ultimatum on 30 December 2021, and Thomas Jacobs appointed Jan Kotonski, a friend of Collins and Jacobs to the vacant role.
On 19 April 2022, the Ministry of Information was recreated, different from the old Information Ministry in that the new one became responsible for the National Electoral Commission and for Information gathering.
The ministry was abolished along with the education ministry and the information ministry on 15 May 2022, replaced by the Ministry of Public Education.
Roles, Duties and Responsibilities
The Ministry was the principle department responsible for the flow and distribution of Information in the state. It counts the censuses after the Home Office has completed its part of the census

Public scrutiny
The department had come under scrutiny due to it sounding like the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda of the Third Reich and Doros Patusky saying to Thomas Jacobs.
[Thomas Jacobs’ real name redacted], having a propaganda ministry makes us sound us sound like fascists - Doros Patusky
.
In defiance Thomas Jacobs decided to keep the name despite the similarities.
