The Minister of State (Esperanto: Ministro pri Štato de Bona-tero) is the head of government of the Republic of Bonumland. The Minister of State is appointed by the Monarch to a period of not less than 6 months, and is subject to parliamentary confidence. The incumbent Minister of State has no term limits and, as such, may be appointed to the post in infinite succession. They are selected out of the six members of the Executive Council; one person is invited to become the Minister of State.
History
The office was created in January 2021 with the adoption of the Constitution of Bonumland. Until the revision of the Constitution in March 2021, the Minister of State had to be a residential citizen selected from a shortlist of civil servants as proposed by the Monarch's advisors. Since March 2021, the Minister of State can be either a residential or non-residential citizen and is appointed by the Monarch among the members of the Executive Council upon consultation with their advisors.

The Constitution of Bonumland defines the powers and duties of the Minister of State in Chapter 4.
- The Minister of State is the chair of the Executive Council.
- The Minister of State is the representative of the Monarch.
- The Minister of State is subject to the confidence of the National Assembly.
- The Minister of State is a diplomatic representative of Bonumland.
- The Minister of State chooses the roles of Executive Council members.
- The Minister of State declares legislation passed and holds nationwide votes on them.
- The Minister of State declares the state of the government (i.e. shutdowns).
- The Minister of State possesses the veto power.
