The Kingdom of Narsiryn (Nahr-seer-in), is a Micronation located south of Vancouver Island, it was formed by King Wald I on October 12, 2021. Narsiryn was a member state of the Lehmark Commonwealth, with William Lehman I, Emperor and Autocrat of Lehmark as the Head of State during it's time in the Commonwealth. This was before Lehmark's eventual dissolution on 19 April 2023, which caused Narsiryn to be a fully independent state.

Inspired by the Empire of Lehmark as well as Emperor Norton I, Narsiryn is a Absolutist Monarchy with Feudal influences.

Etymology

The name of the Kingdom comes from King Wald. The word Narsiryn has two parts Nar and Siryn, the first Nar means land of, and Siryn is the name of Narsiryn's people. Narsiryn therefore means "Land of the Siryn people".

This also means Narsiryn can be found written as, Nar'Siryn.

History

Founding

The Kingdom of Narsiryn was founded on October 12, 2021, with further Government development later.

Soon after Narsiryn's formation the first government positions were given to Duke Earwig.

Early History

In mid April 2022 Narsiryn would gain a very large boost, with many new people Gaining citizenship. Later the first Prime Minister and multiple high offices were established, along with the creation of the Narsiryn Royal Senate. Political parties, and an outline of national identity began to emerge as April came to an end.

On May 8, 2022, Narsiryn announced its first Royal Senate election. This would be the first major test of how the Legislature of the Kingdom would work.

Lehmark Period

On September 24th, Narsiryn joined the Lehmark Commonwealth and recognized HIM William Lehman I as the Head of State of Narsiryn. King Wald kept the title of Monarch of Narsiryn, and gained the title of Head of Commonwealth State of Narsiryn. Wald I also disbanded the Royal Senate, and the old Government was dissolved. This ended on 19 April 2023, when HIM William Lehman I declared Lehmark dissolved and therefore the commonwealth was then dissolved as well.

Government

The Narsiryn Government is headed by the Monarch who manages all Government proceedings. The Monarch then gives titles and positions to citizens who make up the remaining government.

Narsiryn has several Ministries that manage different aspects of the Government. Ministers are head of the Ministries, and supervise work done within their part of the government. Ministers are able to appoint citizens to different positions within their various Ministries. Ministers are able to serve for as long as the Monarch sees fit, the Monarch can appoint and remove any Minister at any time.

The Council of Vassals is a assembly of all of the leaders of the various vassal states in Narsiryn. The Council of Vassals gifts advice to the Monarch of Narsiryn on subjects of vassal taxes, vassal laws, emergency decisions and such. Only Duchies and Counties are allowed to have a seat on the Council. Vassals within Narsiryn are appointed by the Monarch, whether that is Dukes, Counts, Barons, and Lord-Mayors. All Vassals must enforce Narsiryn and Commonwealth law in their respective Vassal States. Vassals are not allowed to create taxes without the Councils approval, as well they are not allowed to create laws.

Royal House of Narsiryn

The Royal House of Narsiryn is the ruling family of the Kingdom. The Monarch, a member of the Royal House, is the Head of state and leader of most of Narsiryn's Government. The Monarch is in charge of the appointment of the Prime Minister, Ministry Heads, and other officials. The Monarch is in charge of the nations security forces, Citizenship, and immigration.

Narsiryn Nobility

Narsiryn Nobility, primarily Narsiryn's vassal states, are appointed positions by the Monarch. Noble families can be founded by the Monarch and inherited.

Territories

The Kingdom of Narsiryn has multiple states which form the greater Kingdom, these are either ruled by the Monarch, their choice of ruler, or by a local lord. All Narsiryn territories are fully integrated into the Kingdom, an all citizens of the territory have full citizenship to the rest of the kingdom and to all other Territories. Entrance into a territory at the moment has no restrictions, however Royal Cities do have visitation and migration restrictions.

Duchies

Duchies are the largest vassal states in Narsiryn with counties and baronies under them.

Royal Cities

The Royal cities are not officially under any state, and act independently. Royal cities are all directly controlled by the Monarch. Royal cities can be given to citizens for them to govern under the Monarchs supervision.

Capital City

The unnamed capital city of the Kingdom is the place occupied by the Monarch. The Capital serves as the head of the whole kingdom, and the administrative center of the Monarchs holdings.

Foreign Relations

Narsiryn over its history has formed multiple alliances with liked minded Micronations. On May 25, 2022, Narsiryn under an Executive Declaration by King Wald, Narsiryn condemned the Republic of Nexus for the acquisitions and evidence presented against their leader for inappropriate actions. All immigration to Nexus was also banned.
