The Prime Minister of Narsiryn, or Prime Minister as known natively, is high ranking government official in the Kingdom of Narsiryn. The Prime Minister is in charge of overseeing the work done by the entire government, primarily Narsiryn's Ministries.

History

The position was created by King Wald I on April 27, 2022, in order to bring a stronger government structure to Narsiryn. He had planned to create the position earlier but lacked a viable candidate for the position.

Appointment

The Prime Minister of Narsiryn is appointed by the Monarch, and may be removed from power at any time. The Prime Minister must be a Narsiryn citizen, and usually have been a member of government before the appointment. The leading party of the Narsiryn Royal Senate has priority when a candidate is being looked for, however can be any member of any party.

Role

The Prime Minister has multiple roles within the Kingdom of Narsiryn, ranging from foreign affairs, to Ministry duties.

Duties

The Prime Minister is supposed to do much of the work of the Monarch of Narsiryn and primarily works when the Monarch assigns the Prime Minister temporary duties. However the Prime Minister does have consistent work as listed:

Moderation of Narsiryn's Ministries work
Sustaining diplomatic relations with other nations
Managing certain government workers

Powers

The Prime Minister is able to excuse and appoint Ministry leaders as well as department directors and workers.The Prime Minister can create diplomatic alliances with other nations, as well as speak in the Monarch's place when called upon. The Prime Minister is allowed to create pieces of legislation to be sent to the Narsiryn Royal Senate. Another power the Prime Minister has is to veto a Senate decision, however this may be overturned by the Monarch.
