The June 2022 Galway City gubernatorial election was the first election for Governor of Galway City since Executive Order 45 gave devolution to Galway City. The incumbent Governor Ludwig Collins was endorsed by Republican Bloc leader Thomas Jacobs to run as the United Party candidate. Collins would later win the vote.
