The Governor of Greater Roscam is the chief executive of the province of Greater Roscam, and alongside the Lieutenant Governor, is one of two provincial elected offices. The Governor is elected every three months, with Lieutenant Governor elected separately. The current Governor is Joseph Montgomery, since 27 January 2023.
The Governor may be recalled by the citizens of Greater Roscam, or impeached by the Legislative Assembly.
History
The position of Governor was formed on 22 February 2022, after the abolition of the Secretary of State for Greater Roscam was abolished. Originally known as the Administrative Officer, the position was renamed to Governor. In early August 2022, the Governor was made an active chief executive after abolition of the office of Prime Minister of Greater Roscam.
