History

Under Matachewan-Prussia

The Matachewanian-Prussian Commonwealth, as it was called, was founded as a union between the elusive micronation of Matachewan, and that of New Prussia. The influence of the New Prussian part was primarily in terms of cultural germanophilia. This is obvious in for example its name, after Prussia, and the nom de guerre of it's leader, mostly monoymously known as Kleinmann (literally: small man), who served as King of the Commonwealth.

It can be deduced that the territory of New Prussia as constituent part of the commonwealth comprised of small parts of the U.S. State of Colorado, where Kleinmann lived. After the commonwealth was dissolved, and the territory of New Prussia relinquished, it became part of a new project named the Deutsches Colorado Kaiserreich (literally: German Colorado Empire), but mostly known under the acronym DCK

Founding the state

On 25 July 2019, at 21:00 MDT, Kleinmann declared the state, as the territory had recently been relinquished by the now defunct Matachewan-Prussian Commonwealth after its dissolution. Kleinmann disassociated from the Commonwealth, playing a role in its dissolution. After making a public apology to Matachewan (which had succeeded the Commonwealth's dissolution) he claimed the relinquished territory once more independent from the U.S. and State of Colorado. He took the title of Kaiser, erroneously, being the german word for Emperor.

Not much is recorded or recalled under the the first administration of Kleinmann, which lasted one month. But it is known that the Chancellor was Peter Warren, and the Deputy Chancellor was Chris Ramsay. After one month on the day, Kleinmann abdicated.

Interregnum of Kleinmann

Deputy Chancellor Chris Ramsay succeeded the position of Emperor, by whim and circumstance on 25 August 20219 under the regal name of Christopher I. In all rational understanding, this period was practically a regency, where the goal was continuation until the previous emperor would be persuaded to return. In the meantime Christopher attempted to pursue reforms in a practical rule by decree (or rather, whim.) These reforms were obsessively centred around "localisation", or bringing into power those who are geographically closest to the borders of the realm. This was attempted by arbitrarily replacing members of the government based on their geographical location (such as the Chancellor,) and an elusive attempt to create military districts, despite no coherent military structure. It is not known whether or not these attempts were received with excitement, apathy or negativity; though previous edits of this subarticle point to the two latter being the case contemporarily. On 20 September 2019, roughly a month later, Christopher abdicated in favour of the previous emperor, who had changed his mind and made a return.

Return and rebrand

Kleinmann resumed interaction with the DCK on 18 September 2019. After announcing his intentions of retaking the headship, he was confronted with various powersharing opportunities, which were denied. In the favour of popular demand, Christopher abdicated on 20 September to Kleinmann. Christopher resumed the office of the Deputy Chancellor shortly after, this time under Eovnia Pual, whom he had appointed prior, according to the decree on localisation.

It is known that shortly after, Kleinmann opted for a change in the name and flag of the state; first Größeres Gebirgsreich (literally: Greater Mountainous Empire) and later, more conventionally, the Empire of Fürstenfeld. The flag of Colorado, which had been used until then, was deprived of the large red C leaving a triband of blue with a white fess.

The further development or dissolution of the state is most likely lost.

Foreign Policy

The Foreign Policy of the Nation is one of Isolationism, and selective Diplomatic relations with other nations in accordance with a Non-Interference Policy with other nations affairs unless it directly affects the Nation or its interests. This is to primarily avoid any conflict with other Micronations and any possible drama within the Micronational sphere of politics.

Culture

The culture of the Deutsches Colorado Kaiserreich is unique in the sense that it has two primary cultures which coexist within the nation, that being of the Coloradan culture and of the strong German Culture.

Coloradan Culture

The Coloradan culture primarily collided with the nature of the geography of the area, with large mountains towards the west and large, flat, plains to reflect both exploration and farming, especially due to it being at the forefront of the Frontier of the United States in the mid to late 1800’s. Colorado is known to be one of the most physically fit US states, and lumber is a thriving business in the region as well. It is also notable for its large production of home made brews, despite Prohibition outlawing Alcohol in the nation.

German Culture

The German Culture in the region dominates most of government and politics, it being most closely related to that of the Early days of the German Empire and Prussia. It shows this with German being the most spoken language, with English in second.
