The Chancellor of Ballinfoyleburg, officially the Chancellor of the Republic of Ballinfoyleburg (German: Kanzler der Republik Ballinfoyleburg), was the head of government of the Republic of Ballinfoyleburg after the inauguration of Thomas Jacobs as President of Ballinfoyleburg, who promised to create a semi-presidential system in Ballinfoyleburg. The Chancellor was normally a member of the National Assembly and appointed by the President of Ballinfoyleburg. After the Republic’s transition to the Commonwealth of Ballinfoyleburg, the position was abolished.
Role
The Chancellor was the head of government of Ballinfoyleburg, and the chairman of the Council of Ministers. The Chancellor was second-only in power to the President, who is the executive head of state. The Chancellor also selected the Council of Ministers, whom were appointed by the President. The Chancellor also nominated the vice chancellor, to serve as deputy head of government.
