The Campinian Defence Forces consist of the Campinian Land Defence Forces, the Campinian Naval Defence Forces and the Campinian Air Defence Forces, there is also a national guard and national militia primarily focused on internal security.

Until 2016 Campinia did not have a formal military as Flandrensis was responsible for maintaning Campinia's defence. The CDF was founded on 30 August 2016. The Ministry of Defense is in charge of political leadership, headed by the Secretary of Defence, while military command remains on the Strategos The CLDF is the largest branch of the CDF and consists of the ground forces responsible for the country's land-based operations

History

On 1 September 2016, the Grand Constable of Campinia took a number of actions regarding defence. He signed a decree on the establishment of the Campinian Defence Forces, As soon Campinia became an armed neutral state, and the force size was reduced to 4 brigades. About 20 men served in the armed forces

Command structure

The Armed Forces are overseen and administered by the Secretary of Defence . The Monarch as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces has the power to appoint, promote, demote officers as well as to form, merge and dissolve units, he has also the final command over the Armed forces during wartime.


Branches

Campinian Land Defence Forces

The Campinian Land Defence Forces is the land-based and largest component of the CDF. Along with the CNDF, the CADF and the Blue Guards, it is responsible to the Duke.. All soldiers are considered professionals following the suspension of conscription,

As of 2016, the CLDF employed 15 personnel

Campinian Naval Defence Forces

The Campinian Naval Defence Forces, nicknamed "De Ijsbrekers", (The Icebreakers) is the maritime arm of the CDF and also the smallest, Its roles have been defined as maintaining intelligence, protecting populations, preventing crises, intervening wherever necessary to reestablish peace, and dissuading any threats against vital Campinian interests

Campinian Air Defence Forces

The Campinian Air Defence Forces is the air force of the CDF.The number of aircraft in service gives a figure of Two RC aircraft in 2016. The CADF is maninly used for reconnaissance flights.

Blue Guards

The Blue Guards are an elite unit of the CDF who is based on the Dutch Blue Guards and the United States Secret Service. The Blue Guards is responsible to ensuring the safety of current and former national leaders and their families, such as the Duke, Grand Constable past Monarchs, past Grand Constable's, Cabinet Members, Members of the Council of State, visiting heads of state, and foreign embassies.

Knokploegen

The Knokploegen (Commando groups) is the Paramilitary branch of the CDF The new executive body was established in September 2016 by a decree signed by Grand Constable Shady Morsi to secure borders, combat terrorism, organized crime, protect public order and guard important state facilities.
