The Bran District is the capital city of the Commonwealth of Dracul, located in between the states of North and South Dracul. Bran District was once the capital of North Dracul, but in July 2020, the National Parliament found it was best and mostly fair for Bran to become similar to Washington DC. Since most of the resources were aimed at the capitol of Dracul, North Dracul received more benefits than South Dracul. Citizens of now have voting rights after a law was passed in parliament allowing Bran Citizens to vote.
History
Bruce Cooper was the first Mayor of Bran and Christopher Karper was Deputy Mayor, effective November 26, 2020 Chris Karper assumed office of Bran, due to Mr Cooper's resignation. Shortly after Mr. Karper's appointment, he himself resigned under allegations of military personnel fraud and Hunter Prater assumed office. Mr. Prater didn't last and he too resigned after attempting a coup in Dracul and Secretary of Defense Connor Modena took over. He served as mayor until 2021 when he resigned due to familial duties.
On 27 January 2021, David Atobaje was elected fifth Mayor of Bran District. During Atobaje's term was when Bran District really began to flourish. Bruce Cooper decided to run for Bran City Council and after winning a small election, assumed the position as Bran City Council Chairman in mid-January, 2022. Cooper Introduced sweeping changes such as initiating the proccess of introducing a City Charter, Proposing around 10 new laws, creating a rules of procedure for meetings, began holding weekly formal meetings of a parliament-like nature among other changes.

In a final attempt to allow Bran District to continue operations, an ultimatum was presented, that being, allow the military set up a government that doesn't have confliction or the district be completely destroyed. After months of editing various documents, and editing the City Charter the new government was unveiled, this time removing the Mayor position and having only a city council. Eugene Smith was voted in as a councilman by citizens of Bran, and appointed Chairman by Military Governor Connor Modena.
Peace was short-lived as Smith began removing some anti-corruption countermeasures installed in Bran's revamp, and was later expelled from Dracul. Following the resigination of some other council members, Dracul's National Parliament absolved Bran's Government to Federal Control. After much disscussion, Federal Parliament On October 29, 2022, decided that due to conflict, corruption and joblessness Bran District as a reigion, government & region would be dissolved and all citizens would have the option to relocate to either North or South Dracul.
Military Government of 10 June 2021
On 10 June 2021 the military of Dracul took over the running of Bran on the orders of then President Dmitri Howie. Following the announcement, Scott Jeanes (Secretary of Defense) named Connor Modena as the military governor of Bran. That night a meeting was then summoned by the military governor for members of the new Bran Government. This resulted in the passage of a new city charter, and later the complete abolition of the position of the Mayor of Bran, the last mayor to ever hold the position being Isidoro Vito Amalfitano.
The Dissolution of City Government
