Proposed Name Change
In the midst of South Dracul preparing to establish their first governor, the State proposed a name change to better connect itself with Vlad III. South Dracul sent out an email to all South Dracul Citizens on 29 October 2018, alerting them of the voting and providing the ballot. The choices reportedly on the ballot were South Dracul, Transylvania, and Wallachia. Voting ended on 2 November at 2:00am central, to allow South Dracul international Citizens to vote as well. The new name was scheduled to be announced at 10:00am central, on the same day. After four days of voting in South Dracul, for the possibility of a name change, voting ended Friday morning at 2:00am cdt. Upon review of all the results, it was discovered that were were only a total of six citizens who voted in the poll. Furthermore, it was reported that all options were tied at two. South Dracul had two votes, Wallachia had two votes, and Transylvania had two votes. Due to the lack of citizens voting in this poll, the Draculian Government went to the micronational community, asking the community to help break the tie. A poll was presented on the Facebook "Micronations" group, asking the community to choose an option. Voting for this tie breaker ended that Friday evening at 11:00pm cdt.
Dracul's first midterm elections were scheduled for 7 January 2019, which included the race for the first State Governors. With two states already established, the Federal Government needed leaders to manage both states. On the evening of 7 January 2019, results came in, showing Kassie Bushong won 100% of the vote, as she ran unopposed. Bushong was then sworn in on 13 January 2019, at the Bran House in North Dracul
