History
Early ages and the First war
In Luxe's early days, the nation believed in its strong leadership and chose not to allocate resources to maintain a standing army. However, as diplomatic crises began to arise and external threats loomed, the need for defense became apparent. The decision was made to arm the nation and form an armed group to protect its interests and sovereignty. At that time, the citizenship of Luxe was relatively low, which presented challenges in assembling a sizable army. Only one man, Luca Mirante, stepped forward to answer the call and join the Luxese armed forces. Despite the seemingly daunting odds of facing adversaries with just one man, Luca Mirante showed unwavering determination and courage to defend his homeland. During the Prima guerra dell'U.M.S., Luxe fought against the alliance of neighboring states. Franzlandia, Stato di Alux, and Emilsang. During the First Battle of Sotto-Luxe, the army of Luxe and Franzlandia's forces engaged in a tense face-to-face confrontation. With only one man on each side, the battle was fierce and intense, lasting for a rapid but action-packed 30 minutes. Ultimately, Franzlandia withdrew, but the conflict was far from over. Two days later, the Second Battle of Sotto-Luxe ensued, and once again, Franzlandia initiated an attack. However, this time, they chose to retire due to private reasons. This unexpected withdrawal strained the relations between Luxe and its allied states, as they questioned the effectiveness of the assistance provided. In light of Franzlandia's retreat, the Army of Luxe decided to take a more aggressive approach to end the conflict. Despite losing some armaments, they mustered their strength and launched an Attack on Franzlandia, known as Luxe's retaliatory strike on Franzlandia. The relentless determination of the Luxese army and Luca Mirante's bravery paid off, as Franzlandia eventually surrendered, marking the end of the conflict. The triumphant return of the lone soldier to Luxe, though marred by numerous injuries, was met with pride and celebration among the Luxese citizens.
The second war
At the outbreak of the Guerra di due ore, the Luxese army was better prepared due to the greater popularity of the military exercise among the citizens, who regularly carried out exercises and then joined the armed forces on the ground, the Presidential Guard of Luxe or the Police Corp of Luxe . Consequently, the general command summoned more personnel available for action, gathering five soldiers on the field with the help of two reservists. Franzlandia implemented a series of operations to achieve a tactical victory but the Luxese numerical superiority made itself felt and achieved a crushing victory. With the capture of the enemy general, the army briefly had legal and custodial jurisdiction, before handing powers back to the Ministry of Justice at the end of the conflict.
