The West Canadian Armed Forces (WCAF; Dutch:Westelijk Canadese Strijdkrachten; WCS) is the military force of the Dominion of West Canada. It consists of the West Canadian Army, Royal West Canadian Navy, and the Royal West Canadian Air Force. It traces its lineage back through the Canadian Armed Forces to the British Armed Forces.
Each branch consists of an active and reserve component, in addition to the paramilitary Kingsmen Guard, which serves as an auxiliary to the West Canadian Army. The WCAF has civilian oversight in the form of the Minister of National Defense, who is appointed by the Prime Minister, while the professional head of the WCAF is the Chief of the Defence Staff.
The Commander in Chief of the WCAF is the Monarch of West Canada, currently Elizabeth II. By custom, the monarch is represented by the Governor-General, currently Connor Shaw.
