Vale Plano (Japanese: フラットバレイ Furattobaree; Ukrainian: Вале Плано) (lit. Flat Valley), is the capital city of Forestia and the state of the same name. The city is located high in the Brazilian highlands in Brazil's Central-West region. Vale Plano is the largest Forestian city by population, having a population of 5. The area which comprises the city was originally inhabited in the 1970s by farmers in the region, and was integrated into Forestia on 9 April 2022.

Etymology

The city is named Vale Plano due to its geographic region, which has a very flat terrain.

History

Originally, the area which currently corresponds to Vale Plano was occupied by farmers around the 1970s. As the settlement grew, it was converted into the Vicente Pires agricultural colony, which eventually became the Vicente Pires Housing Sector, which was part of Taguatinga until 2008. The city of Vale Plano was initially founded as the capital of Forestia on the same day it was established, 9 April 2022.

Geography

The city is located high in the Brazilian highlands in Brazil's Central-West region, being marked by the cerrado vegetation.

Climate

Vale Plano has a tropical savanna climate (Köppen:Aw), with two distinct seasons: the rainy season, from October to April, and the dry season, from May to September. The average temperature in the year is around 27ºC, with temperature spikes in September and October.

Infrastructure

Roads

Vale Plano has a direct connection to Brazil's Estrada Parque Ceilândia (DF-095) highway, which also serves as a demarcation line to separate the two countries. The highway connects Brazil's Vicente Pires, Ceilândia, Estrutural, and Taguatinga cities, and serves as a central motorway in the region.

Airport

There are plans to construct a commercial airport somewhere in Vale Plano, but there are no concrete ideas in place.

Economy

Vale Plano is Forestia's economic center, with the services sector being a large part of the city's exports. The city is nicknamed the "Heart of Forestia" due to its status as the capital.
