General elections will be held in the Empire of Urielandia by the year 2022. It will be the first general elections without Uriel I as an emperor due to his retirement from micronational affairs on October 7th, 2020. The urielandish Electoral National Center (ENC) will determine the specific date of the elections. Incumbent prime minister Juan Manuel Lafaurie announced that he won´t seek reelection. Furthermore, a constitutional reform was made to the Constitution of 2018, where the possibility for reelection for the head of government was removed.

Background

As the Prime Minister Juan Lafaurie, who won the 2018 election, is ineligible due to the constitutional term limit, the Urielandish Tyrinist Party will choose a new candidate to represent the government party at the 2022 elections. The brand new Sinairist Party of Urielandia will participate in the general elections after their electoral debut in the regional elections scheduled on November 20th, 2020.
