The Oregon Republic, officially the United Oregon Republic (U.O.R) is a Micronation located in the Pacific Northwest Region of the United States. The nation was officially established on 23 March 2024 as the Federation of Somerset. Bordered by the United States and the Pacific Ocean to the west, the nation claims to be an egalitarian successor of the Provisional Government of Oregon. The U.O.R consists of two small enclaves that are claimed although not fully administered by the Oregon Republic. The status of the U.O.R as a micronation means that they are not recognized by any United Nations member states. Currently the U.O.R does not seek recognition by any recognized state and instead to build a greater degree of autonomy. The Oregon Republic is made up of 4 districts, 1 special zone, and 3 territory's under a Semi-presidential republic. The Nation currently has a population of 9 and is planning on growing its involvement with its citizens and appointing new government positions.

History
Pre-micronational History
The first people to come and settle the land of The U.O.R and surrounding areas came around 15,000 to 13,000 years ago. The people that came to the U.O.R where The Kalapuya and Clatsop peoples. These people inhabited the area exclusively for thousands of years until the arrival of Europeans such as the British, Anglo-Americans, Russians, and Spaniards.
Provisional Government of Oregon
The Oregon Republic claims to be the successor state of The Provisional Government of Oregon. Claiming that the land is not under the jurisdiction of the United States of America, the nation seeks to avoid the traits it perceives as discriminatory from the preceeding government.
Early Micronationalism
The founders of the Union of Oregonian Republics cite the Republic of Molossia as the inspiration for their nation. The land claimed by the Union of Oregonian Republics was first claimed by the Doggoist Republic Of Lavender, lying on Fort Doggo in the District of Rosewood. At Wheelbarrow another micronation was founded, though it is presumed to be fictional with the only existing recollection of the micronation being its blue and white tricolor flag, and its claims consisting of the districts of Wheelbarrow and The Castle.
Founding Of The Oregon Republic
The Nation of Oregon was founded on 23 March 2024 As the Federation of Somerset. Named after a local park, the nation was renamed to Heceta on the 1 April 2024. On 23 April 2024 it was renamed once more to Oregon. During the Oregon period, the first Prime Minister was appointed, and the nation began developing diplomatic relationships with other nations. The Oregon Republic also claimed the residence of the head of state as its own sovereign territory.
Modern History
On the 10 June 2024, the Union of Oregonian Republics joined the Micronational World Alliance along with Tavale. During June 2024, nation transitioned to a constitutional monarchy, which was quickly overthrown, leading to the reestablishment of the republic. After this reform, the original claim of the Republic was reduced, however it expanded its coastal claims, establishing the Markham Territory, the Carlton Territory, and the Castle Territory.
Politics and government
Head of state
The head of state and commander-in-chief of the armed forces is the Lord Governor. According to the republic's constitution, the Lord Governor should is elected by popular vote for a term serving five years. The Lord Governor is responsible for appointing the Prime Minister, signing bills, and managing diplomatic affairs. Other powers include declaring martial law and promoting military personnel. This position is currently held by the nations founder, who was appointed due to the micronation's small size.
Head of Government
The Prime Minister serves as the head of government. Appointed by the Lord Governor, the Prime Minister can be removed by the Lord Governor or by a motion of no confidence. The current prime minister is K.G and has served in this role since May 2024. The Composite Minister serves as an advisor to the Prime Minister, and takes the role of Prime Minister when the Prime Minister is unavailable or incapacitated. As of June 2024, No composite minister has been appointed.
Legislature
The legislature of the Oregon Republic is The Parliamentary Council of Oregon. The Parliamentary Council is responsible for passing bills and creating laws.The Parliament consists of 4 seats that represent the 4 districts, Although this can be expanded or reduced. Members of The Parliament can be either appointed by a the Lord Governor or Prime Minister, or elected by the parliament. Appointed councilmembers must be appointed after serving in a democratically elected post. The Parlimentary Council positions are currently vacant, and its lower house has since been abolished.
Political parties
The First Oregonian Amendment states that political freedom is a right of the population. The Green National Party is the largest party in the nation. The Union of Oregonian Republics allows for anyone to form a political party.

Law and order
The Department of Justice is the body in charge of the judiciary system. The Supreme Union Court is the sole court of the nation. Founded by the early Hecetan Republic, the Oregon Police is responsible for the enforcement of laws.
Military
The military of the nation Is comprised of The Oregonian Republic Defence and Scout Force (ORDF), All citizens regardless of gender aged 5 to 80 are eligible for military service through a process of Conscription. The Defence Force is divided into 3 Branches, the Navy, the Air and Rocket Force, and the Scout Force. The military is small and lacks the manpower for major campaigns and offenses, though it is considered vital to protecting Oregonian sovereignty. The Navy is the largest branch, seeing several deployments [citation needed].

The Union of Oregonian Republics has two classes of administrative regions: districts and territories. Districts are further subdivided into communes. The Union of Oregonian Republics currently claims four districts and three territories. The nation formally had 7 districts before 3 of them merged to create the South Shade District.

The Union of Oregonian Republics seeks out diplomatic relationships and alliances with other micronations. The nation was a former member of the World Protection alliance and the West Coast Pacific Alliance.[1] Currently the United Oregon Republic is in the GMA and the Micronational World Alliance. All member-states of these organizations are recognized by the Union of Oregonian Republics.

Geography and climate
The republic sits on the west side of the Cascade Mountains. It has territory located on both sides of the Coast Range. The Nation is shaded by many trees, and is home to squirrels and deer, and is a hub for travelling and nesting birds.
Weather
The Nation sits in the Willamette Valley and receives approximately 20.06 inches of rain per year. The temperature varies from 35°F to 84°F [2] and high temperatures in the summer months range from 72 °F to 81 °F According to the Köppen climate classification system, all areas of the U.O.R has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate.
