The Treaty of Katoomba is a peace treaty that was signed on 2 March 2022, ending the Sydney World War, and dissolving the Imperial Park Colonisation Pact. The treaty is named after the area in which it was signed, Katoomba, Australia. The treaty was initially drafted by the leaders of Xahastan and Douglas Grant Park in order to prevent the dissolution of their nation-states. The initial conditions were that the official surrender of all IPCP nations would secure peace with the coalition, and that a joint effort for the reconstruction of any and all damaged infrastructure and property would be conducted by all belligerents who participated in combat. The initial draft made no attempt to define a party who would be required to take responsibility for the war and accept war guilt. The treaty was brought to David Chinchilla to mediate treaty negotiations. Chinchilla would pass on a copy to Japitty Cumquat, President of Badu Park, who would reject the initial draft and begin negotiating the terms. Since Emperor of Douglas Grant Park Cheezit McDaniels was in Badu Parkian custody under charges of War Crimes, Badu Park would not allow Douglas Grant Park to participate in negotiations, and would force Douglas Grant Park to sign the final treaty, no matter the terms. The negotiations led to a final result, the terms of which would dissolve the IPCP, all IPCP members and observers would have to pay reparations (including those who did not participate in the war, such as the Republic of Pioneers Park), the creation of a new military alliance between former IPCP members would be banned, Douglas Grant Park would be the sole nation required to accept war guilt, Douglas Grant Park would have to cease all nuclear weapons programs, and the state of war between all parties would end. The clause detailing a joint post-war reconstruction effort was removed, and organising the repair of damage caused by conflict would be left to each nation individually. The resulting final treaty was signed by all parties on 2 March and officially ratified that same day.
