Republic of Pioneers Park
The Republic of Pioneers Park or the Divine Republic is a totalitarian oligarchic theocracy based in Pioneers Park.
History
The Republic of Pioneers Park was founded in 2020 by a man named Lampshade Humphris and his friend Todd Angilo-Smith. The republic was originally founded as a federal democracy with a parliament and elections. The republic opened up relations with two other micronations in the area, the Republic of Xahastan and the Empire of Douglas Grant Park. The Republic of Pioneers Park also attempted to forge relations with the Badu Park Municipal Government but failed due to Japitty Cumquat's extreme hostility. The state soon joined the Imperial Park Colonisation Pact but did not take part in any wars. It was at this point that a disgruntled Todd Angilo-Smith and 2 other citizens met up and founded the 'Sons of Adhesive', a religious extremest think tank dedicated to overthrowing Lampshade Humphris government. The group's members were all radical followers of the Church of Adhesive, a religion dedicated to worshipping masking tape. Todd Angilo-Smith had been radicalised online by his dentist. On the 6th of May 2022 the Sons of Adhesive overthrew Lampshade Humphris under the guise of 'maintaining state neutrality'. The Sons of Adhesive were quick to suspend the constitution and institute mandatory prayer. There was much confusion in Inner Western micronational community of what had happened in the Republic of Pioneers Park and who the Sons of Adhesive were. The new Republic of Pioneers Park officially left the Imperial Park Colonisation Pact but was subsequently sanctioned by the Inner Western micronational community. Todd Angilo-Smith's new state had become effectively isolated from all other micronations. Lampshade Humphris was exiled and subsequently declared the dissolution of the Republic of Pioneers Park and the establishment of a Pioneers Park Government in Exile. Currently, the Republic of Pioneers Park only maintains limited diplomatic relations with the Free Cities of Provincetown and Charleston, but the relationship is strained.
Politics
There is very little known on Pioneers Park's government and state function precisely, however a theocratic, inner party of men, more appropriately termed a junta called a "Committee" appears to be in charge. They rule from the city of Tapeville Hill, which is the capital of Pioneers Park and the former republic, the small remnants of which thd new government has been engaged in an ongoing civil war with over territory and population. Unlike the former republic, the new Pioneers Park is not a democratic republic but rather an oligarchic one ruled by the Committee.
Political maps of Pioneers Park reveal that Pioneers Park abolished the previous federal system of government and states, and has become a unitary republic with a centralized government and the former states re-organized intro larger "estates". On a regional level, Pioneers Park is governed by "Congregations" as boards of local tape-pastors.
Individual civil liberties enumerated in the now-suspended constitution have been replaced by a system of duties and privileges implemented in a hierarchy of social classes based of the amount of taped used by each individual.
Military
The Republic of Pioneers Park maintains a large military comparable in size to the Empire of Douglas Grant Park's. Not much is known about the current status of the equipment or numbers of the military, however according to Xahastanian surveillance, Pioneers Park operates at least 5 Type 14 tanks bought from Badu Park
