Southeast Asian Micronational Association election, February 2022

The next Southeast Asian Micronational Association election to elect chair and vice-chair was held on 1 February 2022 until 9 February 2022. The new chair and vice-chair will take office on 1 March. Campaigning will begin on 16 January 2022.

The then-current chair was Azwariq Qadri. Ezra was de facto vice-chair until his resignation on 17 December 2021.^[c]

Procedure

The election will be administered by Azwariq Qadri, the supreme justice. The election will use a joint ticket procedure to elect both the chair and vice-chair; before, the vice-chair was nominated by the newly elected chair and then confirmed by Quorum. There'll also be a campaign ban: no one will be allowed to campaign until three weeks before the election takes place.

The election will be use first-past-the-post voting system and first to use instant-runoff voting.
