The Ashukov Federation is a federal presidential republic in which power is shared between the President, the Vice-President, the Federal Assembly and the Supreme Court. In Ashukovo, the President is voted by the citizens of Ashukovo and he, in turn, appoints the Vice-President and the Supreme Judge. At the same time, the Constitution of the Ashukov Federation grants certain levels of sovereignty to the states comprising the Federation, called Districts.

The Federation follows a multi-party system, however in recent times Ashukovo has been de facto following the two-party system. Currently, the two major Ashukov parties, the Conservative and the Orthodox, share power under the United Ashukovo coalition government.
