The Vishwamitran Ambassador to the Karno-Ruthenian Empire was the official representative of the Rashtradhyaksh of Vishwamitra and the government of Vishwamitra to the monarch and the government of Karnia-Ruthenia. The ambassador was appointed by the Rashtradhyaksh at the recommendation of the Minister of External Affairs. The position was held by Klarissa Sriraya, Crown Princess of Purvanchal who served in office from her appointment on 17 May 2021 until the severing of ties between both states on 9 October 2022.
Unlike the representative offices in the macronations, the diplomatic missions accredited to the recognized states are full-fledged and often non-residential. The position was regarded as one of the most prestigious posts in the Foreign Service due to the special relationship between Vishwamitra and Karnia-Ruthenia.
History
Formal bilateral relations between Vishwamitra and the Karno-Ruthenian Empire were established on 20 July 2020. The relations between both states were always strong, cooperative, and positive. Thus, it was agreed upon by the Ministry of External Affairs to create the non-resident embassy to Karnia-Ruthenia to be accredited from the state of Purvanchal. Klarissa Sriraya, the Crown Princess of Purvanchal and later Deputy Prime Minister, was thereupon appointed as the ambassador on 17 May 2021 and presented her credentials to Emperor-King Oscar I, making her the first female foreign envoy to be ever accredited to Karnia-Ruthenia. The Karno-Ruthenian government reciprocated the same by appointing Caio, Duke of Daugavia as their ambassador to Vishwamitra in June 2021.
Klarissa continued to serve in office until both nations severed relations in October 2022 which led to her being expelled from the nation and recalled back by the government of Vishwamitra. No appointment has been made following the severing of ties between both nations. Shiro Mephistopheles, was, on several occasions, appointed by the Rashtradhyaksh to conduct talks and negotiations with the Karno-Ruthenian government but they failed and he was called back.
Duties
The ambassador's main duty was to present Vishwamitran policies to the government of Karnia-Ruthenia and its people, as well as report Karno-Ruthenian policies and views to the federal government of Vishwamitra. The ambassador serves as a primary channel of communication between the two nations and plays an important role in treaty negotiations.
