The Vishwamitran Ambassador to Creek and Lake (known formally as, The Ambassador of Vishwamitra to the Court of Saint Orr) is the official representative of the Rashtradhyaksh of Vishwamitra and the government of Vishwamitra to the monarch and the government of Creek and Lake. The ambassador is appointed by the Rashtradhyaksh at the recommendation of the Minister of External Affairs. The position is currently held by former prime minister Farhaz Hazarika who has been in office since the creation of the diplomatic mission on 24 July 2024.
Unlike the representatives offices in the macronations, the diplomatic missions accredited to the recognized states are full-fledged and often non-residential. Informal contact with Creek and Lake dates back to Vishwamitra's relations with Cycoldia of which Creek and Lake was a colony. Vishwamitra played crucial role in liberating Creek and Lake from Cycoldia and becoming the first micronation to recognize its independence on 1 May 2023. Formal relations were established on 20 May 2023 and the embassy was opened on 24 July 2024. The position is regarded as one of the most prestigious posts in the Foreign Service due to the special relationship between Vishwamitra and Creek and Lake.
History
Informal relations with Creek and Lake began prior to its independence, while it was a member of the Cycoldian Imperium. Cycoldia appointed its foreign minister Arthur Lacey-Scott-FitzLacia as envoy to Vishwamitra to achieve Vishwamitra's recognition of the imperium. However, following Lacey-Scott's attainment of Vishwamitran citizenship, his appointment as envoy was rejected by the Vishwamitran crown and government which caused much contention between Vishwamitra and Cycoldia, ultimately leading to severance of relations between both states.
On 1 May 2023, Vishwamitra recognized Creek and Lake's independence from the Cycoldia and its severance of relations with the Grand Republic of Cycoldia. Vishwamitra also became the first micronation to formally establish bilateral relations with Creek and Lake on 14 May 2023. In a move to further strengthen the diplomatic relations between both states, it was mutually agreed to establish non-residential full-fledged diplomatic missions in both nations and reciprocate envoys of their highest rank to each other. Subsequently, former prime minister Farhaz Hazarika was appointed as the first ambassador to the Court of Saint Orr, while the same was reciprocated with the appointment of Prince Augustus Parker, Duke of Harwood and Duke of Horzon as the ambassador of Creek and Lake to Vishwamitra.
Duties
The ambassador's main duty is to present Vishwamitran policies to the government of Creek and Lake and its people, as well as report Creekian and Lacian policies and views to the federal government of Vishwamitra. The ambassador serves as a primary channel of communication between the two nations and plays an important role in treaty negotiations.
