Campaign issues

Autonomy

The parties took different positions during the electoral campaign. The NUP declared itself anti-federalist, while the leader of the PRD May Junkin and Esty Carpentieri, Executive Councilor of PB, campaigned for federalism during the election campaign. The Progressive Bloc was divided on this issue, while Reform declared itself more in favor of federalism, although Senator Mišo stated he had mixed opinions. Smaller parties such as the Liberal Party and Forward Pinang had stronger opinions and supported the transformation of Pinang into a federal state.

Economy

The National Union Party campaigned against the nationalization of the companies and defended the private business, while the Progressive Bloc supported localist policies on the ‘material economy’, stating that it should be a local matter and pushed for a more interventionist economic policy for the online market and pushed for a nationalization of the online industry. The leader of Reform proposed to adopt a Institutional microdevelopmental economic policy, which as she stated, it consists to the intervention of government on entrepreneuralism on the local level in particularly economically undeveloped areas.
